Key Responsibilities:
- Retrieve medical records from various healthcare providers and sources as requested for active legal cases.
- Analyze and extract pertinent information from medical records for use in insurance defense cases.
- Summarize medical data and evidence, ensuring clarity and relevance for case development.
- Draft legal documents such as summaries, reports, and correspondence related to medical records and findings.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of case tasks related to medical records.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all records are up-to-date and in compliance with legal standards.
- Assist in case preparation by providing necessary documentation and information from medical records.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Paralegal, with a focus on medical records retrieval and analysis.
- Experience in the insurance defense sector preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to extract relevant data from complex medical records.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in drafting legal documents and summaries related to medical data.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of legal research tools and case management software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
